This is very useful especially for travelers and emergency calls.

walkman8, 9 hours agoWhat's with the satellite connectivity thing? First Apple, then Huawei, now Android. Are ... more It doesn't use special hardware. It connects directly to LEO satellites. For now only sms and calls work, DATA doesn't work and requires specialised hardware. Requires user to be in openspace devoid of buildings and walls as the weak signal from LEO is blocked by walls.
