Powered by the Qualcomm QCM6490 chipset, Quectel’s SG560D is a 5G sub-6GHz smart module. It is equipped with a Qualcomm Kryo 670 CPU, based on Arm v8 Cortex technology, and a Qualcomm Adreno 642L GPU. This combination ensures high computing power especially for AI processes. According to the vendor, the SG560D module can achieve a computing performance of up to 14 tera operations per second (TOPS).

Most notably, the SG560D includes an integrated Android 12 operating system, enabling future upgrades to Android 13,14 and 15. It has 4GB of power-optimized memory technology (LPDDR4X) plus 64GB of Universal Flash Storage (UFS) on board as standard, with additional memory configurations available. The product is available in regional variants, including SG560D-EU for EMEA, SG560D-NA for North America, SG560D-CN for China and SG560D-WF for worldwide use. Finally, another major advantage is that the module will be available until 2028.
Using the MIPI-DSI interface, the SG560D can support displays with a maximum resolution of 2520×1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The module offers video performance of maximum 4K@30fps video encoding and 4K@60fps (frames per second) video decoding, as well as maximum five groups of cameras.
With 5G standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) network architectures, the SG560D supports 4×4 MIMO (multiple input, multiple output antenna technology) in the downlink and 2×2 MIMO in the uplink and is backward compatible with global LTE/WCDMA networks.
In addition to cellular capabilities, the SG560D supports Wi-Fi 6E standard at 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz, dual-band simultaneous (DBS), Wi-Fi 2×2 MU-MIMO and Bluetooth 5.2, which greatly expands network coverage and transmission rates in various application scenarios.
In addition, the SG560D module features a GNSS satellite receiver and can simultaneously process signals from up to seven broadcast standards (GPS, GLONASS, BDS, NavIC, Galileo, QZSS, SBAS). By combining GNSS signals from dual frequency bands (L1/L5), the module is able to provide fast and highly accurate position determination even under difficult conditions.
With various peripheral interfaces such as dual USB, multiple PCIe and UART, I2S and SPI interfaces, the SG560D module offers OEM developers flexibility and easy integration into a wide range of AIoT applications such as video conferencing systems, live streaming devices, gaming, edge computing, robotics, drones, AR/VR and smart retail.
In addition, Quectel provides a range of standard as well as customized high-performance antennas. Customers can bundle the SG560D module with Quectel’s antennas and pre-certification services to reduce both cost and time-to-market for their smart devices. In particular, Quectel’s combo antennas, which integrate multiple technologies such as 5G, 4G, GNSS and Wi-Fi, provide a highly flexible and reliable high-performance antenna solution for outdoor applications.
