choyph, 13 hours agoand the more powerful dimensity 9000+ only have minor improvements. Upgraded cpu, gpu and isp ... more Who cares about mmwave? Seriously

I'll never understand gaming phones, I don't need justifications its just a fact for me.

It really was samsungs' techprocess' fault. Good job qualcomm.

Baddroid, 23 Jun 2022 RIP Dimensity 9000, you will be remembered. and the more powerful dimensity 9000+ only have minor improvements. Upgraded cpu, gpu and isp only and still doesnt have mmwave and has less support of custom roms. While snapdragon 8+ gen 1 has major upgrade by switching samsung to tsmc node thus better better battery life while having more performance and stays cool during long gaming sessions. It also has better support of custom roms and has mmwave

you have to suffer, 13 hours ago well then i am stupid enough to know about wifi antenna. But you still haven't explained why the ping spikes are that different from the other flagships. Rog was created for the gamers, by the gamers. But still have bigger problems than the other regular flagships? All units tested on the same router, in the same spot in the building and with 1/1Gb connection.

Olympus Oms, 13 hours agoThen explain why other flagships doesn't get as heavy spikes as rog phones? Same connecti... more well then i am stupid enough to know about wifi antenna.

you have to suffer, 19 hours ago the ping is depending on internet connection. i hope youre joking though Then explain why other flagships doesn't get as heavy spikes as rog phones? Same connection and routers used. Same spot in the building. Rog gives spikes on 100-200ms, while other brands on the exact same router and connection only gives 10-50ms spikes. Oneplus, Samsung and Sony gives spikes on 10-50ms. While rog goes from 100-200ms spikes over the standard ms. Again, every unit is connected to the same router and the same internet connection. It's not the internet connection that is the problem, it's the units Wi-Fi antenna!

salarx, 23 Jun 2022People literally run emulator on gaming phones. You're gonna need Ram for that. Also, wit... more people would just need to buy an actual console. not to emulate ancient game titles on phones

Why "gaming phone", all brands, have short software update support?? It is really a deal breaker for customer :(

If the phone still snaps in half then I am not even considering it as a game phone

Olympus Oms, 23 hours ago I bet 10$ that it will still have heavy ping spikes in moba and mmo games. the ping is depending on internet connection. i hope youre joking though

The ROG Phone series is the most overkill device I have ever seen, but I'm glad that ASUS went and did it.

wow is they really put so much graphite sheet ?cant wait to see teardown. note :my cheap poco phone with mod graphite sheet become beast

I bet 10$ that it will still have heavy ping spikes in moba and mmo games.

you have to suffer, 23 Jun 2022zenfone 9 would have rumored with smaller size. like 5.7 or 5.4 inches but it would be terrib... more If the Zenfone 9 comes with a 5.4 inch display size then I am really interested to buy it

ROG phones are always such beastly phones. Fun to see they keep at it

Korgoth, 23 Jun 2022Ain't nobody need 18 gigs of ram in their phone, even 16 is just bragging rights, even if... more People literally run emulator on gaming phones. You're gonna need Ram for that. Also, with Android 13 you'll be getting virtualization, so you can run virtual machines. So future proofing you phone ain't bad.

Well nothing new. On paper is always fastest android phone on the market. In real life experience is fastest phone on the market beating even Apple which overheats on half hour of gaming draining battery really fast.

I'm hoping this will have better durability than the prev model. Still have my ROG Phone 2 and my only complaint is the severely degraded battery life
